We are a small independent grant-making trust that operates across the United Kingdom. We run two grant rounds each year through our open grants programme. We focus on young people and are currently funding work in the criminal justice sector that helps to reduce reoffending rates and first offences for those at risk of offending.

The funders were very approachable and replied to queries quickly which was very useful.
How successfully do you think this funder is accomplishing its goals as a funder?

Great at communication and understanding the needs of charities. The guidelines provided are clear as to what their priorities are and you can apply for but if you do have questions, they are friendly and quick to respond which was very useful in the planning stages.
If you had one piece of advice to give to this funder (about grantmaking or anything else), what would it be?
Ensure deadlines are listed correctly to avoid grantees getting stressed about timing - also maybe don't make the deadline date a bank holiday as this could throw people who think they have more time but may not be working on submission day!
