The Steve Morgan Foundation is passionately committed to changing lives for good, by working with partners that make a positive difference to those in need. Founded in 2001 by businessman and philanthropist, Steve Morgan CBE, we provide funding, support, expertise and best practice to the charities and organisations we support. By harnessing the power of working together, we address a range of areas including poverty, homelessness, health and wellbeing, and education and training, and have helped to improve the quality of life for more than 3 million people.

Communication after the bid was submitted was excellent. we needed to adjust our original bid budget and they were fully supportive through this process, offering helpful guidance.

They reach out into communities to help improve the quality of life in many ways and offer support over several years which improves sustainability and consistency of support for people with lived experience.

We had a glitch at the beginning of the process as they moved over to an online process but we felt supported throughout. No matter who we have dealt with the communication is excellent.

An excellent experience so far. We've had a small emergency COVID grant previously and this is the beginning of a 3 year grant for a new post. We're looking forward to working with Steve Morgan Foundation.

The Steve Morgan Foundation website has all the information you need to start your application. Take into consideration their geographical restrictions, different grant pots etc. I would also recommend getting in touch with their team, as they are very informative and helpful with any queries, questions you may have. We loved the fact that they take the time to visit charities, and actually see work in action, and would always suggest you say yes to a visit, and make time for them.

Website and communication is excellent. I think the new website is clear, accessible and easy to follow. The trust also clearly defines any restrictions.

This is the first time having a grant approved, but form their website it seems that they are supporting a lot of charities in their geographical area, and so accomplishing their goals.
Tell us one thing that this funder does really well
The communication form start to finish was great. [Team Member] and the team were really accommodating, making time for phone calls, and as I mentioned earlier, it was great that they made time to visit our charity.
If you had one piece of advice to give to this funder (about grantmaking or anything else), what would it be?
In the past we struggled to get funding because of geographical restrictions, but the new website clearly outlines this now. My piece of advice is keep your messaging clear, which you are clearly doing, and always have time for the charity at the other end of the grant.
