I found the wordcount helpful. Other grants that we have applied to do not offer a very large word count so you are limited when trying to explain the scope of the needs present in the community.
How successfully do you think this funder is accomplishing its goals as a funder?

I don't actually know this information yet, but I am hopeful that they will be able to fund small projects as well as the larger ones.

Again, I can only surmise, but it seems to me that they have a wide range of charities they will support.
If you had one piece of advice to give to this funder (about grantmaking or anything else), what would it be?
Try to see the small as significant and that it creates strong foundations of being cared for younger folk and for older folk, that they are not forgotten or invisible.

I believe they invest their staff time in learning, reading & reviewing grant reports. They offer feedback to grantees on their reports. It would be better if they shared practice, made connections across different grantees.

Annual reviews and feedback on monitoring reports. It is really encouraging to have a funder who takes an interest - although important to allow for this level of monitoring and interaction with the funder.
If you had one piece of advice to give to this funder (about grantmaking or anything else), what would it be?
It would be really helpful to know what other grantees are doing - shared contact details, outcomes...this would support collaboration and practice sharing across the sector.

This organisation is first class so helpful and form is saved to make it easier to to takes around 40 minutes but I did on phone and am 64 not great with technology

They have helped me out over a number of years and so easy to speak to if you need help in filling application out

Helps ! Honestly am 64 not brilliant on a lot of funding applications but the staff are so so helpful, even if you dont get the results you want they even help you to reapply next year , they are well up to date on everything i ask

I would say visit who you fund come see the difference funding can make in community, especially kids groups who struggle to survive
